Trial end: downgrade and data
What happens when the trial expires and how the downgrade paywall works.
What happens on expiry
If the trial ends without an upgrade, the workspace falls back to the Free plan. Because Free has tighter limits (especially on websites and team seats), a blocking prompt appears: you decide whether to upgrade to a paid plan or accept the Free plan.
Moving to Free
To switch to Free, your workspace must fit within the Free limits. If you exceed them, you’re asked to first reduce websites and team seats to the Free limits.
Only once usage matches the Free limits can the downgrade be confirmed. Your documents and their version history are kept.
Business features after downgrade
Features like webhooks and the event stream aren’t available on Free. Existing webhooks aren’t deleted, but their delivery is stopped; after upgrading again they can be re-enabled.
